We are delighted to announce that our Parklets in Hammersmith have won an award for its “wider commitment to delivering green spaces, cleaner air and promoting cycling”.
The Hammersmith Parklets received the award at the ceremony held on 19th June at BMA House in London. This project is a collaboration between Hammersmith BID, Hammersmith and Fulham Council, Medidata and the Mayor of London.
The Parklets won under the Community Partnership’s Social & Environmental Sustainability category and has been praised for being ‘an innovative business model.’
The Global Good Awards seek to promote, and be inspired by, organisations and projects committed to sustainability and promoting positive change.
Hammersmith BID’s vision for a cleaner borough resulted in a joint effort towards the creation of eight green spaces that have been transformed into four vibrant green Parklets situated on Hammersmith Grove, designed, supplied and installed by Meristem Design. The successful scheme has also received an award from the Mayor’s Healthy Streets programme.
