Unfortunately our High Streets have struggled to compete with online retailers and the empty units often attracting anti-social behaviour such as graffiti and fly-posting.

We feel we may have one small part of the solution which is to install pregrown living green screens in front of the empty units. We rent out the living screens to the Council’s or Business Improvement Districts or private landlords until the unit is re-let.

In the meantime we introduce colour, greenery and biodiversity to the high street. The pregrown Ivy is rated by NASA as one of the best plants to improve air quality.

A recent study by Defra and the GLA shows that the use of Green Screens at schools successfully reduced air pollution by “up to 36% and 41% for NO2 and PM10, respectively”.
