This month has seen the roll out of over 30 Parklets across Camden as part of the councils Streateries programme to help support the hospitality businesses resume trading whilst keeping residents and employees safe.
A Streatery is a vehicle free outdoor dining space for restaurants, cafes, and other businesses to place tables and chairs. Providing more temporary space for these businesses helps customers to physically distance whilst eating and drinking outside.
The balustrade Parklets allow businesses to safely extend the outdoor space for dining table and chairs.
So far, nine Streateries have opened to allow for outdoor dining which will help boost hospitality businesses across Camden. These included:
Warren Street, W1T
Charlotte Street, W1T
Goodge Street, W1T
Regent’s Park Road, NW1
Cleveland Street, W1
South End Road, NW3
Belsize Park, NW3
Inverness Street, NW1
Neal’s Yard, WC2
In addition to this project we have also installed 2 Parklets on Queens Crescent with built in seating for families to use whilst shopping from the local businesses.
