Meristem Planters Brighten the Streets of Shoreditch for London Design Festival 2018

Meristem planters on Rivington Street given colourful makeover by Lois O’Hara, an Artist / Designer from Brighton. A collaboration with Lois, W.A.Green and German design brand, pulpo have transformed our 6 large wooden street planters into wonderful art installations.

The 1 year old tree planters have slowed down passing traffic and made the area safer for pedestrians and locals.

Petrol and diesel cars set to be banned in East London. Do you agree?

We were happy to see our Parklet and tree planters featuring in the Evening Standards article  on Ultra Low Emission Zones. http://bit.ly/2nvrGyC

Petrol and diesel cars are set to be banned in parts of east London under plans that could see motorists fined more than £100 for breaking the rules. Hackney and Islington councils are consulting on a scheme to ban petrol, diesel and older hybrid vehicles from entering nine streets in Hoxton and Shoreditch.

Pedestrians and cyclists would have access to the zones, in addition to ultra-low emission vehicles including electric cars, e-bikes, the newest hybrids and hydrogen vehicles.

It is hoped the plans will bring reduced levels of air and noise pollution and improved surroundings for local residents and businesses.

Fingers crossed this means more urban greening!
